Our Warranty and Return Policy
Warranty Parts – If it is a Stens product, they will cover most parts under normal homeowners use for 1 full year from the item being defective. Our OEM parts come with a 6-month replacement if the part is found to be defective. These are manufacture warranties and we will assist you in replacing a defective part. This does not apply to commercial landscapers where it’s being used on a daily base and most often all day. The commercial accounts will be on a case by case bases. We reserve the right to reject any and all returns if we find no defects and its normal wear and tear or not installed correctly.
Electrical parts, clutches, wheel motors and hydro pumps must be installed by a Stens Dealer to qualify for parts warranty coverage. What was found and why this is the policy is that it was determined that many of these parts were being installed incorrectly that lead to the failure of the part and not from being a defective part. PTO Clutches need the correct torque pounds, wheel motors and pumps were failing from not having the complete system flushed and debris ( usually metal shavings from a prior breakdown) causing these particles to cause the new parts to fail as well. Electrical parts can easily be hooked up incorrectly causing the part to fail.

RETURNS are as easy as 1-2-3:
- Give us a call at 315-347-1755 and let us know what the issue is and why you want to send it back.
- Get the item packaged up using a sturdy box or padded envelope. Don’t write or mark on the parts box.
- Send the item back to us!
For the first 30 days from date of receipt of your purchase you may return the merchandise for a full money back refund, excluding any shipping charges (for items which we offer free shipping, our standard shipping charges will be deducted from any refund or credit).
Returned or exchanged products must be in brand-new, mint condition. Items must be in the same original condition and packaging. A 15% restocking fee applies on all returned items unless defective. If the original packaging is damaged or not returned, Northern New York Parts will attempt to repackage the item for resell. An additional 25% repackaging fee will be charged, if repackaging is possible. Items may be refused for return without original, undamaged packaging.
We cannot accept returns after you have attempted to install or use the item or items for sale here in this listing. No returns on electrical items since these units can be damaged when powered up incorrectly.
Please ship your parcel back to Us freight prepaid and Insured. Sorry, cannot accept COD or freight-collect shipments. Return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to our store) is not reimbursable.
Please enclose a copy of your invoice with your return and tell us why it’s being returned.
Returns can take up to 8 business days from the date we receive it to process the refund.
When returning an item, please make sure you use a shipper which provides you with Insurance and a tracking number. Items returned without a tracking number might take much longer to be processed.
Obsolete and special-order items cannot be returned at any time. No restocking fee is charged for warranty claims, defective items or due to Northern New York Parts shipping errors (if reported within 7 days).
Damaged items should be immediately reported to us at 315-347-1755 and noted as “Damaged” when signing for the delivery. It is recommended that packages should be opened and contents inspected prior to signing delivery acceptance with carriers, so carrier damage can be noted when signing for accepted receipt. Keep the original carton and damaged merchandise for inspection.
Shipping damages and order shortages must be claimed within 7 days of the receiving the package.
We do not require an RMA.
